“...an endearing Australian solo show...akin to a theatrical Wall-E”
New York Times

In a highly imaginative fusion of animation, puppetry, projections, live and recorded music, master storyteller Sam Longley tells the tale of Alvin Sputnik, deep sea explorer, and the search for his lost love in the seemingly endless depths of the ocean.

This exquisite multi award-winning one-man show is a unique and charming performance that’s emotional, uplifting, touching and funny – a heart-warming and beautiful experience that’s a remarkable pocket masterpiece of invention, staging and performance.

Using a constantly creative, beguiling and quirky blend of live action, puppetry, animation and music, Longley tells his story of love, loss and quiet heroism with engaging energy and an enchanting magic.

SAM LONGLEY has been working as an actor, comedian, writer and director since the mid-nineties. He has performed everything from a Shakespearian drunkard to an eight year old delinquent. Some of his high lights include Horse Head at the Blue Room Theatre, DIY: Disaster Movie at The Awesome Arts Festival, Thisbe at the new Heath Ledger Theatre, Not Like Beckett for Deck Chair Theatre, Bindjareb Pinjarra, a comedy about a massacre and the feature film Where The Wild Things Are with Spike Jonze. Sam has written plays, hosted TV shows and is the creator of the improv comedy show The Big Hoo-Haa that is now in its eleventh sellout season.

This production is approximately one hour long and is enjoyed by all ages 12 and up.
