British electronic musician and artist, Mark Fell is best known for his collaborative work with Mat Steel under the project name SND and a string of seminal releases on the German record label Mille Plateaux.  Released by Raster Noton in 2010, Fell will perform works from his album Multistability, an exploration of erratic and non-regular rhythmic patterns that explore the interplay between simplicity and complexity.  It was called “completely mind blowing…FOUR STARS” by Uncut.

Richard Chartier, sound and installation artist, is considered one of the key figures in the current of reductionist electronic sound art which has been termed both "microsound" and Neo-Modernist. For this event, Chartier will perform excerpts from his release Fields for Mixing created primarily from field recordings from around the world. This performance will also incorporate new field recordings from his recent trip to Iceland.

Fell is currently an exhibiting artist in Data/Fields, a new media installation curated by Chartier on view at Artisphere through November 27.
