Film & New Media
WED MAY 16 / 7:30 PM
Followed by Q&A with director, Fulbright recipient and Arlington native Laura Gamse.
The Creators explores the chaotic reality of modern day South Africa. Moving through the lives of artists from all segments of the formerly-segregated country, the film paints an intimate portrait of those actively remolding the legacy of apartheid. Weaving through the perspectives of Faith47 (street art), Warongx (afro-blues), Emile (hip hop), Sweat.X (glam rap), Blaq Pearl (spoken word) and Mthetho (opera), the film culminates in a deeply revealing intertwined story.
