Kevin Palomino is a multi-medium artist from Wichita and Washington, D.C. Through his works with film, painting, screen printing, drawing and graphic story Palomino attempts to explore issues of identity, culture, nationality, modernity and technology as they relate to himself and his generation.

One of Palomino’s primary concerns in his artwork is to investigate the relationship between people and their environments. In Dead Ghosts, the idea of the environment is expanded beyond the physical city we live in to encompass the digital environment of our “online lives.” The series of films examine the relationship between young adults and the technology that has become an integral part of their lives. Layers of abstracted images representing the Internet and over-information are edited and projected upon different characters. The characters interact with these projections to express the dependency, sexuality, panic attacks and drug-like euphoria associated with their relationship to the digital environment.
