Frida Kahlo was a Mexican Surrealist painter who wove fact and fantasy together representing her sensations, states of mind and profound reactions to life. In this adult workshop led by artist and magician David London, explore Surrealism from a historical, philosophical and political perspective, gaining a better understanding of Frida’s contemporaries and the creative environment of which she lived. During the workshop participants will explore three Surrealist Games, including The Exquisite Corpse, Collage, and Automatic Writing, as three ways to tap into the Surrealist Mindset.

A surrealism workshop for families will be held on Sunday, March 25, in the Artisphere's Education Lab. See the details here.

This is one of a number of complementary programs celebrating the Frida Kahlo: Her Photos exhibit at Artisphere. Learn more about the exhibit.
