Connect people to the fun and wonder found in creativity, celebrate diverse human expression, and advance art that explores the ideas and issues of our time.

VISION

To be an interactive home for creative connections between artists and audiences that provides access and insight into the artistic process.

History

Artisphere represents a true public/private partnership. Arlington, Virginia has a long history of strong support for the arts and values the role innovation and creativity can play in the life of a community. The October 10, 2010 opening of Artisphere was realized through a unique public/private partnership between Arlington County,  the Rosslyn Business Improvement District and Monday Properties. Artisphere's opening ultimately represented forty years of desire on the part of the community for a major arts center that would present thought-provoking and innovative arts programming, showcase Arlington’s finest arts organizations and provide an attractive metro-accessible venue that would serve the region.
